Do you ever find yourself, when it's late at night and you cant sleep, Googling weird things? Because I definitely do!
Many times when I'm bored and have no idea what to do, I start searching for some weird but wonderful facts. So why not share some with you guys?
1) Everyone has their own unique tongue print, just like their fingerprints.
2) During World War II, the crew of a British submarine HMS Trident kept a fully grown reindeer called Pollyanna aboard their vessel for six weeks (it was a gift from Russia).
3) In 1567, the man said to have the longest beard in the world died after he tripped over his beard, running away from a fire.
4) Powerful earthquakes can permanently shorten the length of Earth's day, by moving the spin of the Earth's axis. For, example, the 2011 Japan earthquake knocked 1.8 microseconds off our days. It might not seem a lot, but if this happened every time there was an earthquake, surely it will start to add up?
5) In 2008, scientists discovered a new species of bacteria which lives in Bacteria.
6) The largest snowflake ever recorded reportedly measured 15 inches across.
7) There are around 60000 miles of blood vessels in the human body. If you took them all out and laid them end to end, they'd stretch around the world more than twice. I don't think it'd be a good idea to try and do that, though...
8) Hand Shakes were originally meant to make sure that the person you were meeting wasn't carrying a concealed weapon, proving that the hand was empty and that there wasn't any weapons hiding up the sleeve.
9) Rubbing a banana peel on a mosquito bite can help stop the itching.
10) You don't sneeze when you are asleep because the nerves involved in the sneeze reflex are also resting.
11) The colour orange was named after the fruit, not the other way around.
12) You can't hum while holding your nose closed. (I wonder how many people now test this...)
13) The Facebook Like button was originally planned to be named the Awesome button.
14) There are more lifeforms living on you skin than there are people on this planet.
15) A humming bird weighs less than a penny.
16) It would take 100 years to watch every video on YouTube.
17) You are more likely to die from a falling coconut than a shark attack.

36) Albert Einstein said that if the honey bees were to suddenly disappear from the Earth, we would see an apocalypse within 4 years.
37) If you do 259 x your age x 39, you'll always get an answer of your age repeated 3 times. Eg. if you're 32 years old, the answer will be 323232.
38) The human mind is 10 times more creative at night than it is in the morning or afternoon.
39) Brown eyes are actually blue underneath the brown pigment.
40) There are colours too complex for the human eye to perceive, called 'Impossible Colours'.
41) Blind people, as long as they weren't born blind, can see in their dreams.
42) People who often use and understand sarcasm are more likely to have a high I.Q.
43) There is a city called Rome (or Roma) in every continent.
44) 'Mephobia' is the fear if becoming so awesome that the human race can't handle it and everyone dies.
45) A person turns 10 million minutes old when they have lived 19 years and 4 days.
46) Marie Curie is the only person to every win Nobel prizes in two different areas of science.
47) The more homework a child receives, the more likely that a child is going to suffer from depression.
48) In the US, September 13th is International Chocolate Day.
49) Some people are born with an extra hole in their ear. This is a condition called preauricular sinus that scientists believe may be an evolutionary 'remnant of gills'.
50) In 1938, a Kindergarten teacher who witnessed a burglary was jailed for five days because she wore a pair of slacks into court the day she was called to testify.
