The Different Types of Fangirls
11:00
Hello Internet!
On my About Me page, I said that this website will consist of several things, one of which is fangirling. I haven't really done any posts for this topic yet (unless you count the monthly book reviews) so I thought I should start.
Therefore, what better way to start than to give an introduction to the people behind the fangirling: the Fangirls?

Therefore, what better way to start than to give an introduction to the people behind the fangirling: the Fangirls?
The Shipper:
This person is very common in most fandoms. Whilst some people read books for the page-turning action, the humour, the heartbreak, the smiles... the whatever, this person reads them purely for the ships. If they see two people and think "Wow, they'd be perfect for each other!", it doesn't end there. They will search every corner of the internet for fanfiction, fan-art, or anything which will remind them of how perfect that couple is. Of course, a true Shipper does not just ship one relationship. No, a Shipper becomes obsessed with multiple couples in a single fandom. This type of Fangirl has a lot of dedication to their role and, if - for some appalling, heart-wrenching reason - their ship sinks, don't be alarmed if you don't see them for several days (or sometimes weeks, depending on the severity of the situation).
The All-Rounder:
This Fangirl isn't just in one fandom - no, she's in almost every fandom there is. Being an All-Rounder is probably very difficult as you must be dedicated to many different fandoms.
The Loyal:
This person is the complete opposite to the All-Rounder. A Loyal Fangirl normally sticks to one fandom (two at the absolute most) and dedicates all of her time to it.

The Worker:
This Fangirl is often under-appreciated within a fandom. Some people don't think about where all of the fanart, collages, videos, tributes, fanfiction (etc. etc.) come from and take it for granted. However, people have to actually work hard to create all of that stuff. The Worker is this person. They feel like they should give something back into their fandom, whether that be by drawing fanart (like people such as Viria, for example) or by writing a fifty-page long fanfiction.

The Recruiter:
The clue is pretty much in the name. This person basically just tries to get people to join their fandom(s). The simplest form of this Fangirl is someone who constantly asks their friend to read a book or watch a movie. It may seem unimportant but without Fangirls, there would be no fandom.
The Stalker:
This type of Fangirl has to be completely obsessed and dedicated to the cause. They will search every corner of the internet to find the information they need - the information they crave. If you're ever new to a fandom or need information or detail on a particular fandom, it may be a good idea to go to the Stalker as she often knows everything there is to know.

The Debater:
Not only is this type of Fangirl obsessed, she's obsessed with her obsession. No matter how far anybody goes to prove her theories, ships or ideas wrong, she will use every shred of evidence to prove them write. Nothing is more important to this person than making people understand her crazy thoughts.
So, are you a Fangirl? If so, which of these categories do you fit into?
Or are you a different kind of Fangirl completely?
Please let me know in the comments whether you agree with any of these types of Fangirls and whether you're one of them.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Thank you for reading,

This is a super awesome and true post! I would call myself a fangirl but I'm not sure which one I am.
