This post is a tag(as you could probably tell by the title). I got the idea of this tag from A Little Bit of Sunshine, and I really liked the questions - so thank you for sharing it!
Rules:
1) Write a post thanking the person who tagged you: include the tag, the 11 questions asked, your answers, and, in reply to the request for a small piece of prose or poetry, share a 150-word story.

1) Write on Paper or Computer?
I mostly write on my laptop because I find it quicker and generally easier. Though, I usually make my notes in my notepad as I can take that everywhere and it's often quicker to access.
2) On average, how many words do you write in one session?
Normally it's only about 1000 words because I'm really slow at writing. I'm constantly changing my mind and re-writing things.

3) Fanfiction: yay or nay?
My opinions on fanfiction are actually quite complicated. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. There's kind of two types of fanfiction for me: the kind which is written well, has an actual plot and makes sense for the book/film/celebrity (or whatever it is) you're writing about, and the kind where fan-girls fantasise about their crush and, well, fan-girl. The first type, I've actually grown to tolerate as some are written just as well as other books and are still original. The other type, I don't like so much. Don't get me wrong, I don't thing there's anything wrong with people writing that kind of stuff, I just don't particularly like reading it...
4) Have you ever done NaNoWriMo? If so, did you win, and did you like or dislike it?
No, I haven't but I really want to do it, so I might give it a go this year.
5) Do you share your writing with your family/close friends?
My main work, From Light to Darkness, is published on Wattpad but only one of my friends knows what my username is, so she's the only person who has read anything. And, as for my family, the only person in my family who actually knows I write is my mum (who sometimes reads some of my work but I normally prefer to keep my stuff to myself).
6) What are some of the most helpful pieces of writing advice you've heard?
To make every sentence and word of your story important. Don't write anything for the sake of it, write it because your readers need to know that information.
7) Do you write poetry?
No, I'm really bad at it. I don't know why but I feel like I need to write in full paragraphs to express my emotions effectively.
8) Describe 3 characters from stories that you've written.
Briana Felton (the main character from my novel 'From Light to Darkness')
Briana is fifteen years old and living in medieval England (around the Anglo-Saxon era). She's always been a very diverse child, distinguished easily by her bright red hair and ice blue eyes. After unexpected events in the dark forest surrounding her village, she discovers that she is a hybrid of every race on Earth (human, werewolf, vampire and witch). Her anxiety and shyness far from helps her 'destiny' to save the world from an evil warlock.
Edyth Abbot (from 'From to Darkness')
Edyth is Briana's best friend and is an extremely powerful witch. She specialises, in particular, with medicines and nature - just like her wild, sometimes psychotic, mother. Despite her constant attempt to help and please others, very few people recognise her kindness and return the favour. Sometimes she questions why she cares so much for everyone else when they don't seem to do the same for her.
Lorelle Ascot (from 'From Light to Darkness')
Lorelle (or, as she is often known as, Elle) is the Beta in the wolf pack which resides in the forest next to Briana's village. Whilst, at first, she comes across as cold and narcissistic, she is soon revealed to have hidden feelings and emotions. Her older brother, Hearst, is the Alpha of the pack and her partner, Rhett, is a fellow Beta.
9) What called you to writing?
I can't really remember because I was really young when I started writing. Even when I couldn't write, I'd make up stories in my head. I think it was mainly the desire to create a whole world of anything I wanted. I could basically design my dream world through writing.
10) Do you like killing off your characters?
I don't particularly like it but I still do it. I think it hooks the reader and it's a good tactic to use as an author. Although, I can't deny that I sometimes find it sad to kill them off and I try to avoid doing it to main characters. Sometimes, it has to be done though...

Here's the 150-word snippet from my story 'From Light to Darkness':
The silent
trees had become almost too silent; no longer were they gently swaying in the
calm breeze. The air was still. I could
have sworn that I had heard the faint whisper of a voice, the words evident but
much too quiet to acknowledge. It had been when I had suddenly realised how
much the scene had resembled my nightmares, and I had stopped in my tracks -
barely able to breathe in the icy air - when I had become aware that I was
alone. Edyth and Elric was nowhere to be seen. Automatically,
my chest tightened and it was as if the forest had become even more daunting
and never-ending than before. The trees, as if they had suddenly become alive,
were enclosing me, awaiting to cradle me in their willowing, branch-like arms.
My eyes had shut tightly, and I felt my body drop to the ground.
I can't actually believe I managed to get an extract of exactly 150 words... (by the way this section isn't actually published on Wattpad yet. It'll be in Chapter 3 when I upload the edited version).
